ATFA List a Project

comingsoon listaproject-1

Are you about to get a timber floor installed and/or sanded and polished? Now you can get a quote directly from an ATFA member simply by posting it on the ATFA website. You set the timelines and conditions and ATFA sets a quality standard for quoting members to apply.

So if you’re a home owner, insurance company, builder, project company, architect or retailer, this is designed to make life easier for you! Just complete the project template and then expect to hear from ATFA timber flooring technicians wanting to provide a quote for you.

Please note: The ATFA Consumer Guide to Timber Flooring can assist with many of the decisions in the template if you are undecided and the Timber Flooring Systems information sheet will assist with the type of floor and installation system you choose.

How it works:

  • You can list the details of your project here and ATFA members will in turn contact you to organise a visit to your project site and to complete a quotation for you.
  • You can specify how they contact you, the quotation timelines and which members you accept to undertake a quote (we recommend at least 3 quotations).
  • ATFA will check that you are receiving offers of quotation midway through the open quotation period.
  • Your basic information (only name, project address, phone and email) will only be visible in the member only section of the ATFA website. Your information will not be retained by ATFA after the project listing.
  • ATFA will notify ATFA members as soon as your project is posted.
  • This is a free service from ATFA, designed to benefit both consumers and ATFA members.

Member Agreement

Projects posted on the ATFA member only site and won by a member will mean that the member agrees to:
– Use the ATFA QA job checklist (or ATFA compliant equivalent), a contract (ATFA or ATFA compliant) and the ATFA warranty (or ACCC compliant).
– If a subsequent concern arises with the floor that cannot be resolved between the owner and contractor and an inspection is required, both parties agree to work towards resolution through the ATFA floor inspection process. Both parties also jointly agree to 50% of inspection costs each and paid prior to the inspection proceeding. Where remedial work is deemed necessary and considered the responsibility of the contractor, the contractor agrees to undertake the work or have the work undertaken at the contractor’s cost. If the owner has contributed to the concerns (e.g. building leaks or providing adverse internal conditions) then the owner agrees to attend to such matters and will bear the cost of floor repair. Where faulty materials have been used, taking into consideration the installation and warranty conditions for the product, negotiations between the contractor and product supplier may be necessary to resolve the issue.
– A major fault, deemed under Australian Consumer Laws, if not resolved between the owner and contractor, will be dealt with through the consumer tribunal system or other legal avenues.
– To make the owner aware of their accreditation level within ATFA.

Listing Party Agreement

The person, business or organisation lodging the project (hereinafter referred to as “The Listing Party”) agrees to:
– Advise ATFA of the successful timber flooring business that quoted for the work, within two working days of the closing date.
– If a subsequent concern arises with the floor that cannot be resolved between the owner and contractor and an inspection is required, both parties agree to work toward resolution through the ATFA floor inspection process.
– Pay the ATFA member in accordance with the project contract.

By participating in ‘List a Project’, the participating parties automatically agree to:

Members that offer quotes to the project listing party automatically agree to follow the conditions set down in the Member Agreement and lodging template.

Consumers, businesses or organisations using this system automatically agree to follow the conditions set down in the Listing Party Agreement and lodging template.

Both Parties Agreement

Both parties (the ATFA member and the Listing Party) hereby agree that the quotation and subsequent service rendered by the successful ATFA member chosen by the Listing Party is offered only by the chosen ATFA member (timber flooring business) who undertakes to perform the work.

While the Australian Timber Flooring Association (“ATFA”) actively promotes its members and promotes the use of the ‘List a Project’ system, the ‘List a Project’ system is intended to serve only as a portal to connect any interested Listing Party with ATFA members for quotation purposes.

ATFA makes no representation as to the performance and quality of work of the ATFA members and bears no liability for work undertaken by a member, or for any claims, losses, costs and damages, insolvency, breach of contract or negligence resulting from work conducted by a member.

Both parties (the ATFA member and the Listing Party) hereby agree to release and indemnify ATFA from any claims, losses, and damages caused by or in connection with or arising out of or incidental to the use of this ‘List a Project’ system and any non performance and/or breach of contact by any party entered into between the ATFA member and the Listing Party.

It is hereby expressed that being an ATFA member or an accredited member does not create a joint venture, partnership or agency relationship between the ATFA and its member. ATFA is not a party to the contract between the ATFA member and the Listing Party or the project work undertaken.
